An invitation to providers

Bring more interconnection to Peterborough.

We invite interconnection platforms, Internet exchanges and carriers to expand the options for networks in Peterborough.

Megaport and PacketFabric: a local POP.

We invite Megaport and PacketFabric to establish a point of presence in Peterborough.

The goal is a local hand-off for private cloud connections, peering and links to other data centres.

Megaport has a data-centre expansion program. PacketFabric invites data-centre operators to make their facilities part of its platform.[131, 132]

TorIX and CANIX: remote peering.

We invite TorIX, CANIX and transport partners to offer remote peering to customers with a point of presence in Peterborough.

For CANIX, this would be an opportunity to sell remote peering access to its Toronto, Ottawa and Montréal exchanges, with carrier transport connecting customers’ Peterborough equipment to those sites.

CANIX documents remote connections through transport providers. TorIX also supports long-haul Ethernet access through third parties.[133, 74]

TorIX welcomes details from potential peers outside its current sites and says sufficient local peer density could support a new presence.[74]
