The case for Peterborough

What Peterborough already has.

Established telecommunications networks, industrial properties and local technical education.

01

Industrial buildings and land.

Local advertisements include existing industrial buildings, vacant industrial land and industrial park lots. In Montréal, eStruxture’s MTL-2 is an example of a former printing facility converted into a data centre.[26, 28, 47, 49, 58, 59, 62, 79]

02

Regional fibre networks.

Acronym includes Peterborough on its optical network map. Bell has an exchange on Hunter Street, and Zayo has a local point of presence.[1, 9, 68]

03

Local technical education.

Fleming’s School of Trades and Technology and Trent’s Computer Science and Data Science programs provide relevant education in the region.[41, 42, 46]
